It does not matter how far I travel, the superb cuisine and the almost intuitive service at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is my benchmark for the luxury hotel industry, worldwide.
No better way than to spend an afternoon, listening to the classical guitar music, whilst enjoying afternoon tea, and of course taking photographs.
The Author’s Lounge at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is an iconic venue for afternoon tea, steeped in elegance and history. Situated on the ground floor of this legendary hotel, often referred to as one of the “Grand Dames” of the hospitality world.

Adorned with colonial-style décor, white rattan furniture, and an abundance of natural light, it provides a serene, old-world ambiance that feels like stepping into a bygone era.
